The International Journal of Agricultural and Food Systems Research (IJAFSR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that publishes monthly contributions across a broad spectrum of agricultural sciences, agribusiness, food systems, and interdisciplinary rural development studies. IJAFSR serves as a platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to explore innovations, practices, and policies driving sustainable agricultural transformation and food security globally, with a special focus on sub-Saharan Africa and other emerging regions.

 

The journal accepts original research, review articles, technical notes, field studies, conceptual papers, and policy-oriented submissions. IJAFSR covers both theoretical and empirical contributions that deepen understanding of agricultural production systems, food value chains, nutrition-sensitive agriculture, and agroecological sustainability.

IJAFSR aims to bridge research and practice, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and promote context-relevant innovations that enhance food systems resilience, productivity, and equity. The journal is particularly interested in research that informs national, regional, and international development agendas such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The journal is currently under consideration for indexing in reputable academic directories including Google Scholar, Crossref, Index Copernicus International, CITEFACTOR, Open Academic Journals Index, and the International Institute of Organized Research.
